Cookie Policy

1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser when you visit it. This site sets two cookies through Google Analytics 4, described in section 3. It also uses your browser’s session storage and local storage, which work in a similar way, to remember your cookie choice and to keep a few values tied to the contact form. Section 4 lists every one of them.
2. Your choice and the default
The first time you visit, a notice at the bottom of the page asks you to accept or decline analytics cookies. The site sets the default by where you are:
- European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland: analytics is off by default. Google Analytics stores nothing in your browser until you select Accept.
- Everywhere else: analytics is on by default, and you can select Decline at any time. If you decline, the site stops measuring your visits and deletes the Google Analytics cookies it had already set.
The site runs no advertising tags: no Google Ads tag and no Meta Pixel. Selecting Accept or Decline updates Google’s four consent signals (analytics storage, ad storage, ad user data, and ad personalization), so Google Analytics follows your choice. Your choice is saved in your browser, in local storage (key phn_cookie_consent_en), and it stays until you change it or clear your site data.
3. Google Analytics 4
This site uses Google Analytics 4, a measurement service from Google, to count visits in aggregate: which pages people open, roughly where visitors come from, and how many contact requests the site receives. PHN uses this to see which pages help and which do not. IP anonymization is turned on.
| Name | Purpose | How long | Set by |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Tells one visitor from another so visits can be counted in aggregate | Up to 2 years | Google, on phnseo.com |
_ga_<ID> (for this site, _ga_ZXY1K8JRC4) | Keeps the state of your current session, so page views in one visit are grouped together | Up to 2 years | Google, on phnseo.com |
When analytics is on, the site also sends Google a few events: page views, a click on a WhatsApp link, the opening of the WhatsApp button, a contact form submission, and form errors. A form submission event carries only the options you ticked (such as the services you are interested in and the revenue range) and the page it came from. It never carries your name, email address, phone number, or message. Google explains how it uses data from sites that use its services on its partner sites page.
4. What else this site stores in your browser
| Name | Purpose | How long | Where |
|---|---|---|---|
phn_cookie_consent_en | Your answer to the cookie notice (accepted or declined), so the notice does not ask again | Until you change it or clear your site data | Local storage |
phn_landing | The first page you opened on this site, so a contact request shows where the visit started | Until you close the tab | Session storage |
phn_utm_source, phn_utm_medium, phn_utm_campaign, phn_utm_content, phn_utm_term | Campaign parameters from the link you arrived from, if it had any, so a contact request shows which campaign it came from | Until you close the tab | Session storage |
phn_gclid | The Google Ads click ID, saved only if you arrived by clicking a Google Ads ad, so a contact request can be matched to that ad | Up to 90 days; after that, the site deletes it the next time you visit | Local storage |
phn_wa_lead | Notes that a WhatsApp link was clicked during this visit, so the click is counted once | Until you close the tab | Session storage |
If you are in Europe (the site goes by your browser's time zone), the values in this table other than your cookie choice are saved only after you select Accept. Everywhere else they are saved unless you select Decline. If you select Decline, the site deletes them.
These values stay in your browser. They leave it only if you send the contact form: the request then carries the landing page, the campaign parameters, the click ID, the page you sent it from, and the address of the site that linked you here, along with what you typed. How PHN handles that information is explained in the Privacy Policy.
When you open the contact form or start filling it out, the site also requests a short-lived anti-spam token from its own server. The token holds only the time it was created and a random code. It is kept in the page’s memory, not saved in your browser, it expires within 24 hours, and it is sent back with the form to help the server tell a real request from automated spam.
5. Fonts and links to other services
The typefaces on this site, Cormorant Garamond and DM Sans (both under the SIL Open Font License), are served by phnseo.com itself. Loading them sends no request to Google Fonts or to any other font service, and they store nothing in your browser.
Links to WhatsApp, LinkedIn, and Instagram load nothing from those services until you click them. Once you do, their own policies apply.
6. How to change your choice or clear what is stored
You can reopen the cookie notice at any time and choose again: Cookie settings.
You can also clear the site data for phnseo.com in your browser settings. That removes your saved choice, the Google Analytics cookies, and everything listed in section 4, and the notice appears again on your next visit. Session storage is cleared on its own when you close the tab. Most browsers also let you block cookies altogether, and the site works the same either way. Google also offers a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics.
