Marketing Consulting
Marketing consulting for B2B companies ready to grow beyond referrals
A diagnosis of how you win clients, clear brand positioning, and a written plan that sets the order of the channels. It’s where PHN starts with almost every company.

In short
What is PHN’s marketing consulting?
- What it is: a written diagnosis of how your company wins clients, done before any money goes into media.
- Who it’s for: established B2B companies with an owner who makes the decisions and a consultative sales process.
- What you get: positioning, the order of the channels, the budget, and the metrics.
PHN’s marketing consulting is a diagnosis of client acquisition for established B2B companies. It shows where the company wins and loses clients, defines its positioning, and delivers a plan with the order of the channels, the budget, and the metrics the owner will track.
The real problem
Why do so many companies invest in marketing and then blame the channel?
Because the channel is the part you can see. When a campaign doesn’t bring in clients, the owner sees the ad, not what was missing before it: a defined target client, a website that convinces that client, and a way to tell a good inquiry from a curious one.
The pattern repeats across very different industries. A company hires someone to run Google Ads, gets inquiries that never close, and decides Google Ads doesn’t work for its industry. It tries SEO, waits months, sees little change, and blames SEO. It rebuilds the website, still sees no results, and blames the design. In many of these cases, all three channels were carrying out a plan nobody ever wrote down.
Marketing consulting exists to write that plan first. It cross-checks where your current clients came from, what each channel costs, and which contracts closed, to work out what it really costs to win a client. It also looks at the stretch between first contact and signed contract, because many opportunities are lost in the sales follow-up, not in the media.
Only once that is clear does it make sense to decide where your next marketing dollar goes.
What it actually is
What does consulting look at?
Diagnosis
Client acquisition as it stands today
Where your clients come from, what each inquiry costs, how long it takes to go from inquiry to contract, and where opportunities slip away. The picture comes from your company’s own data.
Positioning
The client you want
Which buyer is worth the most, what that buyer searches for, what they check on your website before they call, and why they would choose you over a competitor. Every message that follows is built on this.
Plan
The order of the channels
What to do first, what can wait, and what should stop. Each recommendation comes with an estimated budget, the person accountable for it, and the metric the owner will track.
The most common scenarios
When does consulting come before everything else?
Referrals stopped keeping pace with growth
You want to launch a new line of business, move into another city, or change the kind of client you serve, and your current network doesn’t reach that far.
You’ve already invested without clear results
There was an agency, a campaign, and a new website, and nobody can say what each client cost. Before you try again, it pays to understand what went wrong.
The owner doesn’t know where to start
Google Ads, SEO, the website, or social media? Consulting sets the order based on how your company actually operates.
You want to execute with your own team
The plan comes fully documented, with priorities and metrics, so your in-house team or another vendor can carry it out.
A big decision is coming up
A new website, a new brand, a sharp increase in ad budget. An outside review before you sign usually costs less than fixing things afterward.
Deliverables
What do you get at the end of the engagement?
Written diagnosis
Your website, campaigns, organic presence, Google Business Profile, and direct competitors, in a document the owner can reread and question.
Positioning
The target client, the core message, and what your website has to prove to that client.
Channel plan
The order of priority, an estimated budget for each channel, and what should stop.
Metrics
Which numbers to track, how to read each one, and when to act, from first inquiry to signed contract.
Presentation meeting
A working session with the owners to go through the plan point by point, question it, and adjust it before anything is executed.
Who leads it
Who leads the consulting work?
Pablo Negri, PHN’s founder, at every stage: diagnosis, positioning, plan, and presentation. He has been helping businesses with their marketing since 2018, has served more than 200 companies, and holds active Google Ads and Google Analytics certifications.
The work is never handed off to an analyst. The person who asks the questions in the first meeting is the person who writes the plan and presents it to the owners. Knowing which questions to ask comes from having seen many similar businesses: accounting firms, law firms, clinics, financial advisory firms, manufacturers, freight and logistics companies, schools, real estate agencies, and technology companies.
Client acquisition gets stuck in different places in each industry. That experience shortens the diagnosis, but the plan comes from the data of the company being analyzed, not from a template. The owners receive it with every recommendation explained and room to disagree.
Part of the system
What happens after consulting?
You decide. You can execute the plan with your own team, with another vendor, or with PHN. When PHN handles execution, each service follows the approved plan and is measured by the metrics set in it.
The plan usually points to three areas: the website buyers check before they call, SEO for people searching for your service, and Google Ads management for demand that is already searching. Companies that want all three under one accountable person hire integrated digital marketing.
Consulting and execution are separate contracts. The plan never bends its recommendations to justify a sale: if the right move is not to invest in media yet, that is what the document says.
Ideal fit
Who is marketing consulting for?
A good fit
Companies that grew on referrals and want a second channel
Owners who want to understand the strategy before they delegate
Companies that have invested without knowing what each client cost
Businesses facing a big marketing decision
In-house teams that need a plan to execute
Not a fit
Anyone who wants someone else to decide everything without getting involved
Anyone looking for a stamp of approval on a decision already made
Anyone who expects a firm promise of results within weeks
The question everyone asks
Because ad management without a plan is working in the dark. Running Google Ads before you define the target client and the message is like remodeling without blueprints: it can be done, but fixing it later costs more than planning up front. If your company already has that plan, PHN tells you so in the free consultation, and you don’t need to pay for consulting.
